Terms of Service
Draft — pending legal review. This page will be replaced with the final terms before public launch.
ShelfGarden helps you organize books from screenshots and photos you choose to upload. You keep ownership of your uploads and notes.
Accepting these terms is required to create an account. It is not consent to marketing emails or text messages, which are separate and optional.
Text messages: if you opt in, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Screenshot processing allowances depend on your plan and are enforced by our servers. Failed processing is not charged.
The Oracle (personalized recommendations): a premium feature. Suggestions are generated from your own ratings, feedback and stated preferences; they are explanations-first and can be marked not-interested. You control AI personalization in Settings, can reset or delete your preference data at any time, and recommendations are suggestions only — we don't guarantee availability, accuracy or suitability of any suggested title. Premium access for early members is complimentary; no payment is collected while ShelfGarden is in beta.
Community (open beta, draft for review): Community is part of signing up, with a username and display name. Your profile can stay completely private. Sharing is optional and controlled per shelf. Bookmate connections need both readers to agree. Don't use Community to harass, impersonate or spam other readers. We may remove posts or restrict community access for accounts that break these rules, and we review reports before acting. Reactions carry no fixed meaning. Basic community features are free.
ShelfGarden never sells reading histories or recommendation profiles, and doesn't use them for advertising.
