Book tracker
Keep track of the books you've read
Record where each book stands, what you thought of it and when you read it. ShelfGarden keeps all of that with the book, on the shelf where it lives.
Reading statuses
Every book has one status, and each status has its own shelf.

What you can record for each book
Star rating
Your own rating out of five. Sort your library by it later.
Steam rating
A separate 1 to 5 scale for how spicy a book is, or mark it as not applicable. It's kept apart from your star rating.
Review and notes
Write a review and keep private notes. If you use Bookmates, you're asked each time whether to share a review. Saying no keeps it private.
Dates
When you started and finished, so books land in the right month in your stats.
Where it came from
Each book remembers how it was added and how many times it was recommended to you.
Tags and shelves
Tag books and put them on your own shelves alongside their status.
Reading stats
The Stats page shows books read this year, pages read, your average rating, books read per month, your most common genres and how big your TBR is. There are no targets to hit.
Audiobooks and ebooks
Audiobooks and ebooks count the same as print. Add them, rate them and mark them read like any other book. ShelfGarden doesn't have a separate format field or track listening time yet, so if you want to tell them apart, a tag or a custom shelf like "Audiobooks" works well.
Coming from StoryGraph?
You can import a StoryGraph export file to bring over your books, and undo the whole import in one step if you change your mind. For saved recommendations, see the screenshot organizer.
